August 2o, 2021- LEGAL held a meeting with nine survivors of the alleged 11 victims of Cheeseman Cole, who was charged with the torture and kidnap of the nine victims; two victims are allegedly still missing and presumed dead by the surviving victims.

August 20, 2021- Under the motto ‘Bringing hope to the needy through Human Rights Advocacy, we certificated three partners in recognition of their active participation, contributions ,coordination and services rendered to our beneficiaries through strong partnership.
The certificates were also given to our partners for their outstanding dedication in advancing human rights, access to social justice and equality access to health and rights in Liberia.

July 22, 2021- LEGAL commenced another monthly Know your Status HIV/AIDS testing campaign for the month of June, 2021, with beneficiaries from various communities within Liberia, voluntarily committed to knowing their status.
LEGAL’s team members Jenneh Mustapha, Joe W. Thomas, Reuben T. Willie, Fredrick Quaye, Jacob Bobby, Michael Saah and Calvin Coleman are those present on the outreach team.
We had 40 participants during the campaign, who were swapped and encouraged to know their health status.
The campaign has also allowed Liberians to know how simple it is to learn one(s) HIV/AIDS status, get tested and receive results discreetly.

August 11, 2021- LEGAL held its monthly Financial review meeting at its head office in Congo Town, where the Finance Officer of LEGAL, Abayomi W. Coole, was able to explain the institutions financial statements to help draw attention to important aspects of their financial data.
The meeting was presided over by Abayomi W. Coole, LEGAL’s Program Director, Jenneh Mustapha, Assistance Finance Officer, Vanessa A. Freeman and Assistance Finance Officer, Nattaline A. Williams and intended to ensure that the organization is staying on track.

August 10, 2021- Concern Brothers Support group held their monthly review meeting at Barbra Ann Clinic as it relates to having recognized the challenges faced in the community(s) and having substantial data base information to attract support and outreach for sustainable development in those areas. Updates were also highlighted on past and present impact projects and completed task within the support group.
Concern Brothers Support Group, which also shows social support, has many potential benefits and skills that include coping skills, enhancing the psychological well-being of the marginalized.
The team members can also find support, build community, and address the challenges they are facing while executing LGBTQ+ related engagements.
August 7, 2021- LEGAL was hosted by the Daudo village residents in Grand Bassa County during a land signing ceremony and handing over of 35 acres of land by its dwellers to LEGAL for a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) complex envisioned to provide comprehensive services and access to reproductive health services and products for remote and rural communities; which is a critical area of concern for the organization.

LEGAL, a Feminist and advocacy group, envisions building a fully functional health facility and also skills development center to enable effective strategies to provide adolescent sexual and reproductive health under one roof in a royal setting. This can greatly accelerate adoption of innovations and increase benefits to all rural development.

LEGAL realizes that the lack of skilled birth attendants, early marriages, high pregnancy rates and inequity in access to maternal health, is due to gender and income in-equality. LEGAL’s prioritized focus is on maternity mortality as well and will add a maternity center to its planned complex; and a safe and legal abortion center.
Noting that populations that reside in rural and remote areas is opposition from local communities, reproductive health continues to remain a cultural taboo, especially in contraceptive methods; This has moved LEGAL to its action.
According to LEGAL’s Program Coordinator, Joe W. Thomas, a humanitarian peace village, full health center, playground, vocational school center, safe home and culture center to host traditional leaders administrative activities, will be constructed in the likes of the villages need.
Meanwhile, in attendance to the signing over of the land to LEGAL and its legal advisory, traditional leaders, youth, women and its community dwellers surrounded in amazement as songs of praise filled the village upon their arrival.

The traditional councils welcomed the team as Pa Moses articulated his anticipation for LEGAL’s state of the art heath complex and stays optimistic that – it will provide them the needed services-.

In as much, LEGAL was able to distribute over 7 bags of 25kg rice, gallon(s) of cooking oil, assorted cooking items and seasons and clothes for the celebration.

August 4, 2021- LEGAL began a week-long review meeting(s) with it’s Outreach officers, PN’s, PE’s and staff to evaluate the growth of the organization and its progress through out the period and to know their performance. The medium was also used to discuss the challenges that hamper faculty members ability to function properly.
