Executive Director of LEGAL, Jennifer Henshaw highlighted Human Rights Advocacy through using knowledge and available rights instruments. Through group exercises, each participant was asked to identify rights violations and laws in the LGBTIG community, come up with strategy’s to build up conclusive support, come up with instruments to support advocacy and provide recommendations.

LEGAL’S Monitoring Officer Rueben Willie presented on SRHR access and importance, while Solidarity Sisters Network of Liberia (SOSNOL) monitoring officer Rufus Smith presented on safety and security and risk management for LGBTIQ’s. LEGAL’s Coordinator Joe Thomas also presented on review and inputs of LEGAL’s 5 years strategic plan, its next steps and collection of action points.
