March 2017 – LEGAL conducted its Needs Assessment in four Counties in Liberia to identify key issues affecting the LGBTIQ Community and other vulnerable women and girls. Key lesson learned; limited access to protection and health services, key population experience high risk of abuse and violence, members of the LGBTIQ and Sex workers are throw out of accommodation, deny of job opportunity, social inclusion in private and public spaces etc.
In Relations to protection and health, it is based on this background that LEGAL is now engaging service providers and the Police and Lawyers through dialogue and training at the community, who will serve as alias for LEGAL.
